The Lake County Gladiators started in D3 the Fall of 2003 with the efforts of a great bunch of players from the Old Lake County Rogues such as: Matt Rocky, Joe Farmer, Tim Farmer, Vince Jiuditta, Marius Mates, Mike Geib, Mike Hall, Phil Weiske and Jason Augustinho. 

While we struggled in numbers are first few seasons with 20-25 players we were tough and managed to win our division 2 out of 5 seasons, finished 2nd and 3rd (2x) the other seasons.

In Spring 2005 we lost a close match to Fox Cities, WI in the first round of the play-offs.

In Spring 2007 we lost another close one in the first round of the play-offs to Michiana.

In Fall 2007 we ran the table and won the division-undefeated.  We kept rolling and won in the first round vs Flint, MI and second round vs Lexington, KY thus advancing into the Midwest Championships in Fall of 2007.

While making the play-offs 3 times we were only able to win out to the Midwest Finals in 2008 where we lost a 2-point game to Michiana RFC (who finished second in the nation). We did come back to win another tough game against The Cedar Rapids Headhunters to finish 3rd in the Midwest and advance to D2.
